I've always loved gifting. There's something about finding the perfect thing for someone, something that says I see you and I thought of you, that genuinely lights me up.

 

So when I received a curated gift box myself, I understood in a whole new way just how powerful that feeling is on the other side. It was joy. It was warmth. It was the simple, beautiful act of being cared for.

That experience sparked something. I went looking for more — and what I found surprised me. For a gesture so rooted in love and thoughtfulness, the gift box space had very little representation from Black women founders, and even fewer brands intentionally spotlighting minority-owned businesses. As a Black woman, I knew I wanted to be part of changing that.

Serenjoy Box was born from that joy and that gap. Every box is curated with intention — bringing together wellness, comfort, and a little luxury — to celebrate someone, support them, or simply remind them that they deserve to be poured into too. Whether it's a milestone, a moment of rest, or just because, each box is a way of saying: someone thought of you.
